How We Became Creative Environments
Award-winning properties don’t just happen by default. Highly regarded pool, spa, and landscape designs are products yielded by well-trained experts. At Creative Environments, we are dedicated to cultivating quality outdoor living environments that are meant to be enjoyed.
As Phoenix’s #1 landscaping and build company, we got our start back in 1950. Founded by Chuck Hammond Sr., a door-to-door seller, he sought to assist people in achieving the backyard design of their dreams. After a decade, Hammond’s son met a man named Mr. Del Webb who was impressed by the drive, ambition, and product of the company, who essentially went on to partner with the team to expand their work.
In 1993, two long-time employees, both Chuck Hammond Jr. and a man named Dan Waters purchased the company and that’s when Creative Environments was born. Today, we are thrilled to employ over 200 individuals, including 20 expertly trained landscape designers, registered landscape architects, and cutting edge residential and commercial professionals ready to customize your own outdoor environment.
Our unique approach to tackle any new property is as follows:
- First we sit down together with you to write out all of your ideas
- Then, using the homeowner’s vision as a foundation, our design architects will compose several sketches of a new outdoor environment
- Our designers finalize drawings using full CAD/3D for presentation
- We meet again to review the 3D visuals and make any adjustments necessary
- Construction starts with our staff leading the landscape construction team
- We oversee the process until the product is finished and ready to enjoy
