Creative Environments Wins Three Awards at The Nationals 2021

Creative Environments garnered multiple awards based on designs completed for Toll Brothers homes at The Nationals 2021, the National Association of Home Builders’ largest and most prestigious competition. Specifically, the company earned the coveted Gold Award for Best Landscape Design of a Model Home for a yard designed and constructed for The Hastings model at the Toll Brothers Sterling Grove community. In addition, Creative Environments won Silver Awards for Master Planned Community of the Year (in partnership with Scottsdale-based Greey Pickett) based on the landscape design throughout Sterling Grove, as well as Best Landscape Design of a Model Home for the Madison model at Toll Brothers’ Verde River community. The awards were announced via a virtual presentation on March 5.

Spanning 780 acres in Surprise, Ariz., Sterling Grove is an idyllic and picturesque community featuring a unique blend of landscape and architecture. Eight new home collections are centered around a tree-lined town square, with four cornerstone parks, gardens and groves, and irrigation ponds and streams incorporating nature throughout the community. In creating a design for the Hastings model, Creative Environments strived to demonstrate livability both indoors and out while striking the ideal balance of elegance and simplicity. Visitors to the home are greeted by a large courtyard that is perfect for entertaining. The indoor-outdoor living component continues in the great room, which features multi-slide doors that seamlessly transition to the backyard. An elongated pool generously fills the outdoor space and connects with a gazebo and its lounging areas. There is also a spa situated outside the home’s primary suite, with abundant plantings to help soften the space and enhance privacy.

Located in Rio Verde, the Verde River community consists of 109 luxury homes with stunning views of Four Peaks and the McDowell Mountains. The Madison model, for which Creative Environments won the Silver Award for Best Landscape Design of a Model Home, offers maximum indoor-outdoor living potential, with large multi-slide doors diminishing the barrier between the home’s interior and an expansive covered patio. The patio overlooks a resort-style pool with sweeping vistas of the nearby mountains, as well as a large fireplace, multiple seating areas and other outdoor amenities.

Established in 1982, The Nationals recognizes outstanding achievements in a variety of categories related to new-home design, sales and marketing. Considered the most elite competition in the industry, the awards granted set benchmarks for quality and innovation. This year’s awards represented the latest victories at The Nationals for the ongoing Creative Environments-Toll Brothers partnership. For example, in 2019, Toll Brothers homes received Gold Awards for Best Landscape Design and Best Outdoor Living Space based on designs by Creative Environments. The designs were recognized for their emphasis on indoor-outdoor living and their blend of luxury, comfort and function.
